Performance is something we are always looking for, and it is something that will always be necessary and the browser is one of those tools that consume, but Midori is lightweight and we can make Midori even lighter and faster.
Midori has multiple options and each option has a cost in consumption, one of the options that consumes more are the workspace options, if it is very useful to separate and divide the work but if you do not use frequently this option is recommended to disable it.
How to deactivate workspaces?
- Menu Settings
- Sidebar Workspace
- Enable Workspace
WebApps
A very useful feature for accessing multiple websites, but also has a high consumption, tip: If you are not using the WebApps features, disable it.
- Menu Settings.
- Sidebar WebApps.
- Enable WebApps.
Disabling these options will increase the performance of the browser and the resource consumption of the default browser will be decreased and you will be able to enjoy an even lighter browser.
We will be working on future updates to improve consumption and performance.
These options can be applied to Midori for Linux, Windows and soon MacOS.
